Tell us about what your morning routine looks like, and how you like to end your day?
Up by 5 am - Hit the road for a 5 mile run. After, its right to District Ramen, to fire up the kitchen in anticipation of a busy day. At the close of my day, I like to spend time with my 11 year old son, helping him train for his dream career as a pro soccer player.

Do you have any awards or achievements you’d like to mention?
District Ramen has been a great achievement. A contribution to the revitalization of our historic district, which was once considered a ghost town, now the city is thriving and regenerating everyday.
Do you have a favorite chef that you look up to and what advice would you give to aspiring chefs?
No real chef's in general, they all strive toward perfection of their work. I can only advise the you must give 100% to everything that you aspire do, anything less would be criminal.
What do you typically cook at home for yourself or your family?
My wife does all of the cooking at home, and I am luck that I get to enjoy all of her creations.
What’s a food trend that you’re loving right now and why?
Ramen.

What’s that strangest food combination you’ve ever tried? And, did you like it?
Fried pickles, and peanut butter and bacon sandwich. Did I love it? ... Yes.
What cocktail or beverage do you enjoy most?
The Edison. Its our house cocktail that honors Thomas Edison and the foundations of his work he did in our city here in Newburgh, New York. Newburgh was the first municipality to ever be electrified. We have a few men items that pay tribute to him. Our spicy signature tan tan dish is called the “Illuminator.”
Have you ever cooked for a celebrity? Do you have a story to tell?
No, not really. Though we consider all of our customers celebrities.
