Four Seasons Jackson Hole’s 2026 Guide to the Season

As summer gives way to autumn in Wyoming, Four Seasons Resort and Residences Jackson Hole is embracing the season with a lineup of fall festivals, culinary events, wildlife experiences, outdoor adventures and complimentary programming.

The resort's latest fall programming offers travelers a chance to experience Jackson Hole as the crowds thin and the Teton landscape takes on its characteristic shades of gold and amber. From the inaugural Teton Village Art & Culinary Fair to Oktoberfest, wildlife safaris and mountain excursions, the season brings plenty of reasons to visit.

“Fall is one of Jackson Hole’s best-kept secrets,” says General Manager Jane Kim, highlighting the combination of autumn scenery, culinary and cultural events, and outdoor experiences that define the season.

A New Art and Culinary Celebration Comes to Teton Village

The fall calendar gets underway with the inaugural Teton Village Art & Culinary Fair on September 12.

Taking place at Village Commons from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., the free outdoor event will bring together regional artists, local makers and live music for an afternoon centered on art, food and community.

The fair coincides with Teton Village Restaurant Week, running September 7 through 13, with The Handle Bar at Four Seasons participating with a featured special.

The events also overlap with the 42nd annual Jackson Hole Fall Arts Festival, which brings Western, wildlife and landscape artists to the destination for more than 50 events over 12 days.

Oktoberfest Returns to the Tetons

Fall takes a decidedly Bavarian turn later in September when Teton Village Oktoberfest returns for its second year.

The celebration expands to two days in 2026, taking place September 26 from noon to 6 p.m. and September 27 from 2 to 6 p.m. in the heart of Teton Village.

Guests can expect Bavarian traditions, live entertainment, regional craft beer, seasonal food and family-friendly activities, all with the Teton Range providing the backdrop.

At Four Seasons' The Handle Bar, the Oktoberfest weekend special will feature German ale-braised bratwurst with sauerkraut and whole grain mustard, served with a stein of draft beer.

Fall Wildlife Viewing in Grand Teton National Park

Autumn also brings an ideal opportunity to explore the landscape surrounding Jackson Hole.

Guests can arrange a wildlife safari through Grand Teton National Park, combining fall foliage with the chance to see seasonal wildlife while enjoying fewer crowds.

For those looking for a different perspective, the iconic “Big Red” Tram offers scenic rides with views across the mountain landscape. At the top, guests can stop at Corbet's Cabin for its signature waffles.

The resort's Concierge team can also recommend local hikes and arrange made-to-order picnic lunches, creating an easy way to spend a fall day outdoors.

Complimentary Fall Experiences at the Resort

Travelers don't have to leave the property to enjoy the season.

Four Seasons is offering complimentary fall activities including yoga and strength classes, daily spirit tastings and poolside s'mores for families. Children can also request complimentary board games and receive a passport for activities throughout the property at check-in.

The resort's year-round heated pool complex includes three whirlpools, offering a particularly appealing place to relax after a day exploring the Tetons.

For a deeper retreat, the full-service Spa and Salon offers regionally inspired facials, body treatments, massages and nail care.

A Different Side of Jackson Hole

Fall in Jackson Hole has a rhythm all its own.

The combination of changing foliage, wildlife, mountain scenery and a busy calendar of local events creates a season that feels distinctly different from both summer and winter. Farmers markets, live music and family-friendly activities continue throughout September, adding to the destination's autumn appeal.

For guests at Four Seasons Resort and Residences Jackson Hole, the property provides a convenient base for experiencing that seasonal transformation—from festivals and food to hikes, wildlife and mountain views.

With its combination of fall foliage, local festivals, outdoor adventure, wellness and family programming, the resort is positioning autumn as one of the most compelling times to experience Jackson Hole.
