First Look: Conrad Nagoya Opens Above the City in Japan’s Sakae District
A New Luxury Address Above Nagoya
A new luxury landmark has arrived in the heart of Nagoya. Conrad Nagoya has officially opened its doors, marking the debut of Conrad Hotels & Resorts in Aichi Prefecture and bringing the Hilton luxury brand to one of Japan’s most dynamic cities.
Set high above the city inside The Landmark Nagoya Sakae, the new hotel combines panoramic skyline views, contemporary design, destination-driven dining and experiences inspired by the craftsmanship and culture of the region.
For travelers discovering Nagoya as a destination in its own right, Conrad Nagoya offers a particularly well-positioned base for exploring the city's food, culture, shopping and history.
A Wellness Retreat Above the City
Conrad Nagoya occupies the upper floors of The Landmark Nagoya Sakae, the tallest skyscraper in the Sakae district. The hotel is directly connected to Sakae Station, placing guests close to the city's business and shopping districts as well as major cultural attractions.
The location also makes the hotel a gateway to destinations beyond Nagoya, including Ise and Takayama, allowing travelers to explore more of Central Japan while returning to the city for the evening.
The opening is also significant for Conrad itself. The property represents the brand's first hotel in Nagoya and adds another luxury address to Hilton's growing presence in Japan.

Rooms Designed Around the City
Conrad Nagoya features 170 guest rooms, including 29 suites, with every room measuring more than 50 square meters and featuring floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Nagoya skyline.
The interiors take their inspiration from the energy of Sakae. Bespoke metal art pieces in each guest room are designed to capture the movement of people, light and rhythm within the city, bringing a sense of Nagoya's metropolitan character indoors.
At the top end of the accommodation offering is the Conrad Suite, located on the 40th floor. Spanning 213 square meters, the suite combines residential-style comfort with panoramic views across the city.

Six Dining and Drinking Destinations
Food is a major part of the Conrad Nagoya experience, with six restaurants and bars spread across the hotel's 31st and 40th floors. The culinary program focuses on the Tokai region while incorporating contemporary Japanese and international influences.
At SUNDROP, the lobby lounge and bar, guests can settle in for afternoon tea, cocktails and globally inspired cuisine against sweeping city views.

CASA OLIVA focuses on Italian cuisine, pairing classic dishes with a wine selection featuring more than 100 Italian labels.
For coffee and something sweet, SONGBIRD serves specialty coffee, pastries and seasonal desserts.
The 40th floor takes the dining experience even higher. SORYU offers contemporary sushi kaiseki inspired by the craftsmanship of traditional sushi, while SOEN presents teppan kaiseki rooted in Japanese culinary traditions.
Completing the collection is HOUSE OF MON, a rooftop bar where craft cocktails are served alongside expansive views of Nagoya's skyline.

A Wellness Retreat Above the City
Conrad Nagoya's wellness facilities are designed as an urban retreat high above the city.
The Conrad Spa includes four treatment rooms, an indoor swimming pool, sauna facilities and a 24-hour fitness center.
The combination of skyline views and wellness facilities gives guests an opportunity to step away from the energy of central Nagoya without actually leaving the city.

Experiences That Connect Guests With Nagoya
Conrad's signature 1/3/5 program takes a destination-focused approach to exploring the city, with curated experiences designed around the amount of time guests have available—one, three or five hours.
At Conrad Nagoya, those experiences include opportunities to participate in a traditional tea ceremony, discover craft beer, make miso and take part in an interactive cocktail-making session.
Guests can also gain exclusive access to witness the 400-year-old heritage of Arimatsu Shibori, the Japanese tie-dyeing craft for which the region is known.
The experiences reflect the hotel's broader approach to luxury: using the property as a starting point for discovering the character and traditions of its destination.
A Hotel Connected to Nagoya's Cultural Side
Nagoya is widely recognized as a major manufacturing center, but the city also has a rich history of craftsmanship, culinary traditions and cultural heritage. Conrad Nagoya's design and guest experiences are intended to bring those elements into the stay.
From the hotel, guests have convenient access to Nagoya Castle and Atsuta Shrine, while the central location makes exploring the city's shopping and cultural districts straightforward.
That combination of location and locally inspired programming gives Conrad Nagoya an identity that extends beyond simply being a new luxury hotel.

A New Way to Experience Nagoya
With its position above Sakae, expansive skyline views, six dining and drinking venues, extensive wellness facilities and experiences rooted in local culture, Conrad Nagoya arrives as one of the city's most significant new luxury openings.
More importantly for travelers, it offers a different way to experience Nagoya—one that combines the convenience of a major urban hotel with a deliberate focus on the craftsmanship, cuisine and traditions that make the region distinctive.
For visitors looking to explore Central Japan, the new Conrad provides both a sophisticated place to stay and a high-rise window into a city that is increasingly making its own case as a destination.
