First Look: Six Senses London
Six Senses London Opens at The Whiteley in Bayswater
London’s luxury hotel scene has entered a new era with the arrival of Six Senses London, the brand’s highly anticipated UK debut set within the restored Whiteley building in London. Opened in Spring 2026, the property transforms one of the city’s most historic retail landmarks into a next-generation urban sanctuary—where wellness, sustainability, and design converge.
This isn’t just a hotel opening—it’s a shift in how luxury is defined in a global city.

A Landmark Reimagined
Originally London’s first department store, The Whiteley has been meticulously reworked into a mixed-use destination that blends heritage with modern living. Its Grade II-listed façade and architectural details remain, while interiors introduce a softer, more human-centered approach to luxury.
Design by AvroKO, in collaboration with EPR Architects, draws on Art Deco influences and the building’s historic grandeur—layering bold lines, natural materials, and curated craftsmanship into spaces that feel both grounded and elevated.
Rooms That Invite You to Slow Down
The aesthetic is calm and residential—inky blues, warm woods, and soft textures—designed to encourage rest and reconnection. At the top end, the Whiteley Suite offers a sweeping rooftop terrace and the option to create an entirely private floor

Wellness at the Core
Wellness isn’t an amenity here—it’s the foundation. The expansive Six Senses Spa spans over 2,000 square meters, integrating traditional therapies with advanced longevity and biohacking treatments.
Guests can move between hammams, a magnesium pool, cryotherapy, and personalized wellness programs, while the Alchemy Bar offers a hands-on, sensory experience rooted in natural ingredients.

Above it all sits Six Senses Place, the brand’s first-ever social wellness members’ club—designed as a community-driven space for connection, restoration, and modern rituals.
Dining, Sustainability & a New City Rhythm
Dining at Six Senses London reflects the brand’s wellness philosophy, with seasonal, ingredient-led menus and a strong emphasis on plant-forward cuisine at Whiteley’s Kitchen, Bar, and Café.

Sustainability is equally embedded—from plastic-free operations to green roofs and biodiversity initiatives—creating a property that feels as responsible as it is refined.

Together, these elements establish a new rhythm for London—one that prioritizes balance, connection, and conscious living in the heart of the city.
A New Chapter for London Luxury
Six Senses London doesn’t compete with traditional luxury hotels—it redefines them. By bringing its resort-rooted philosophy into an urban environment, it offers something distinctly different: a place where guests don’t just stay, but recalibrate.
In a city that never slows down, this may be London’s most compelling invitation yet to do exactly that.
