Tell us about what your morning routine looks like, and how you like to end your day?

I come in check coolers and ensure proper rotation was done the night before. Then I start making the dough for the day. At the end of the night, I ensured all coolers were flipped correctly and stocked for the next day.

Do you have any awards or achievements you’d like to mention?

I have received service awards from Kentucky when I lived there. As well as ‘Best Pizza Delivery’ and ‘Best Takeout of Sumter’ this year.

Do you have a favorite chef that you look up to and what advice would you give to aspiring chefs?

My favorite chef would have to be Gordon Ramsey. The way he has given back to multiple communities as well as give opportunities and shine light on up and coming chefs. My advice would be, don't give up. Stay persistent, it's a marathon not a race. None of us got it right the first time, maybe not even the second. Just have to belive in yourself, your team and make sure you set goals for yourself and have a vision.

What do you typically cook at home?

My specialty at home is breakfast. French toast especially, if I'm cooking dinner it's most likely some type of pasta.

What’s a food trend that you’re loving right now and why?

I am loving the global flavor tend that is going around. I enjoy creating new items and the fact everyone wants to try exotic items and flavors they have not had before makes it a fun time for both parties.

What’s the strangest food combination you’ve ever tried? And, did you like it?

The strangest combination of food will always be sweet and savory for me. I had a pizza with balsamic roasted grapes, prosciutto and gorgonzola. It actually tasted pretty good.

What drink do you enjoy most?

My favorite drink would be water. It's really the only thing I drink. That and the occasional cup of sweet tea, I grew up in the South so that was something that was everywhere growing up.

Have you ever cooked for a celebrity? Do you have a story to tell?

Lindsey Shaw from Pretty Little Liars and Neds Declassified. I don't really have a story, she ordered pasta and when checking on the guests I noticed her. I tried to not draw too much attention to her since no one else noticed her. She did enjoy her meal which was nice to get praise from a celebrity in my field.
