From the moment I stepped into the spacious spa’s reception area, I was enveloped in an aura of serenity and greeted with a glass of champagne. The ambiance was a harmonious blend of contemporary elegance and coastal charm, with soothing earthy tones, soft lighting adorned from a breathtaking multi-floor chandelier, and tasteful tropical accents that set the stage for an unforgettable journey of rejuvenation. The Spa by JW at JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort offers an extensive selection of treatments, and I opted for their signature “D.T.R.” (Deeply Transformative Relaxation) package ($400), a fully customized 50-minute massage and 50-minute facial designed by their team of therapists that hits all the high notes and puts everyone that experiences this treatment in a transformative state. This was pure indulgence that promised to transport me to a state of utter tranquility—and it did, as I woke myself up with a quick snore (shhh)…
My extremely skilled aesthetician and massage therapist ensured that every moment of the treatment was a pampering delight, from the soothing aromatherapy massage to the revitalizing body scrub and hydrating facial. The use of Eminence Organic Skin Care products left my skin feeling refreshed, renewed and glowing. I especially loved the Strawberry Rhubarb Dermafoliant which left me reminiscing about the decadent strawberry rhubarb sauce my mom used to make fresh from our garden every summer.

After my indulgent treatments, I had the pleasure of relaxing in a cabana which overlooks the private, crystal clear Spa by JW® pool with two whirlpools (both semi-secluded) and the turquoise waters of the Gulf of Mexico—with this being said the sundeck provided a breathtaking view that perfectly complemented the spa's calming atmosphere.

I ambitiously sipped on cold-pressed watermelon juice (with a shot of blanco tequila of course) and indulged on a Lobster Summer Salad with avocado, corn, hard boiled egg, heirloom tomato, and a tangy dill citrus dressing. The serene setting was an experience in itself. Poolside service was refined, prompt and a pleasure.

The spa's amenities were top-notch, with a spacious sauna and steam room, complete with an oversized (and hot!) whirlpool surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows—creating a sun-drenched, uplifting atmosphere that felt totally private. See below.
