First on the list you must visit the Clark Art Institute. Along with its stunning historical art collection, you'll initially be mesmerized by the monumental marble building on the scenic grounds, designed by architect Daniel Perry.

Inside you'll find an expansive art collection of European and American paintings, sculpture, prints, drawings, photographs, and decorative arts from the Renaissance to the early 20th century.
The collection is rich in French Impressionist and Academic paintings, British oil sketches, drawings, porcelain and silver.
After wrapping up your tour, you'll be delighted to enjoy lunch from Café 7 outside on the spectacular manicured grounds—featuring a reflecting pool, complete with waterfalls and comfy Adirondack chairs to soak in that Berkshires vibe.

2. THE VIEWS
There's no shortage of hiking in the Berkshires and Williamstown is home to some great spots with scenic views across the Taconic range and Mount Greylock. My favorites while in town were Stone Hill, Cascades Trail and the Hoosac Range Trail (located in North Adams).
3. THE HISTORY
Settled in 1749, history is abundant in Williamstown—which has been restored into the future.

4. THE COCKTAILS
I found a new favorite! When you arrive at Mezze you'll be greeted by a picture perfect setting, friendly fowl included.

Welcomed by the maitre d' and shown to the window-walled bar overlooking the lush, country landscape, I was lucky to have Zoe the Mezze mixologist. Her hospitality soared and I was happy to know that I had come to the right place. I went with the French 95 1/2 cocktail, consisting of bourbon and rosé.

It was sure to please, and did—so obviously I indulged in two. Hands down the best place in town for handcrafted cocktails and farm-to-table cuisine. I can't wait to return.
5. THE ARCHITECTURE
I was enamored by the handful of beautiful historic estates and farmhouses in the area. These were some of my favorites.
