Tell us about what your morning routine looks like, and how you like to end your day?
My mornings usually start early, and I like to hit the ground running. I’ll grab a Monster energy drink on my way out the door, and head straight to work, ready to take on the day. One of my first priorities is making sure everyone on my team is set up for success — whether that means checking in, organizing tasks, or ensuring everything is in place for a smooth day ahead. I love starting the morning by getting things moving and feeling productive right away. At the end of the day, I like to shift gears and focus on what matters most — my family. Spending time with them helps me recharge and close the day on a positive note. Whether it’s sharing a meal, catching up on our day, or just enjoying quiet time together, that family connection is how I like to end every day.
Do you have any awards or achievements you’d like to mention?
Yes! I’m incredibly proud of what Ranch Eats has accomplished over the past few years. We’ve been honored to be voted Cheyenne’s Best Food Truck & Catering Company, which means so much to us because it reflects the love and support of our community. In 2024, we also achieved a huge milestone by winning Cheyenne’s Micro Business of the Year — an award that recognizes not only the hard work we’ve put in, but also the passion and heart behind what we do every day. These achievements are a reminder that when you love what you do and have an amazing community backing you, great things can happen!
Do you have a favorite chef that you look up to and what advice would you give to aspiring chefs?
I am a big fan of Gordon Ramsey. I would never want to discourage aspiring chefs, but I think it’s important to be honest — this life is not for the weak, and it’s certainly not for everyone. The culinary world demands long hours, hard work, and a deep passion for what you do. It can be exhausting, and at times it will test you in ways you never expected. But with that being said, it is also one of the most rewarding and fulfilling careers out there. There is nothing quite like creating something from scratch, seeing people enjoy your food, and knowing you brought a little joy into their day. If you have the heart, the drive, and the willingness to push through the challenges, this career can give back tenfold.

What do you typically cook at home?
I honestly dont cook a lot at home. I am usually so tired at the end of the day. Fortunately my wife is an incredible cook and she usually handles dinner.
What’s a food trend that you’re loving right now and why?
Pop up concepts and food trucks. I especially like seeing other food trucks that can handle large quantities like we do.
What’s the strangest food combination you’ve ever tried? And, did you like it?
Not a strange combo, but I recently had a soup that was green, bright green and it tasted like mushrooms. Super surprising given the color and so delicious!
What drink do you enjoy most?
Vodka with orange Monster and milk.
