Mumbai, India is a city lavish in vibrance and teeming with life. As a place in constant motion, you have to experience it for yourself if you want to grasp it in all its wonder.

1. THE HISTORY

The Gateway of India is a gorgeous archway that was built for the landing and arrival of King George V and Queen Mary to India in 1924. Years later the last group of British troops also left through the colossal arch. The monument continues to draw in endless Indian and international travelers.

2. THE FOOD

Pali Bhavan—A dimly lit spot in Mumbai's Bandra is just one of the many delicious spots to indulge. The bi-level Indian restaurant gives a cool vibe with funky decor and an inventive menu that's heavy in Maharashtrian cuisine. You will definitely leave feeling well-fed.

3. THE ARCHITECTURE

Each part of the city tells a story all its own. Visit Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that's a reminder of British Raj pre-independence.
